New Static Neutralizer for Hazardous Locations Introduced at CMM |
| Ion Systems Industrial will introduce and demonstrate its new hazardous locations product, the Virtual AC&tm; Intelligent Static Neutralizer, at CMM, booth #1177, in Chicago from April 23 – 26. The company is the first to develop a static neutralizing system with computer interface for use in Class I, Division 1 or 2, Group D hazardous areas. The patented Virtual AC&tm; Static Neutralizer features a high efficiency 8001 HL static neutralizing bag, 8011 HL solid-state, high voltage power supply with a built-in monitoring circuit, and a controller. The power supply is designed for use inside hazardous areas. Control and interface components are installed outside hazardous areas. The computer interface allows users to simultaneously control and monitor several Virtual AC Neutralizers. A computer screen displays real-time information about each neutralizer. Computer software also allows users to store, retrieve and analyze production records, maintenance logs, and other performance data.
The neutralizing bar uses an advanced ionization technology for increased long-range neutralizing performance. Long-range neutralization helps keep bars farther away from the web and decreases bar contamination. Knowledge that static is under control allows users to run equipment at optimal speeds through the coating or printing process and reduces downtime caused by unanticipated static problems.
