Now you can afford to do xenon testing. Q-Panel Lab Products has just introduced two new models of xenon arc testers. The new Q-Sun 3100 H has controlled humidity. Model Q-Sun 3100 HS has both controlled humidity and water spray. Now the Q-Sun offers all the features you need in a xenon tester: - Low Cost Replacement Lamps
- Solar Eye Irradiance Control
- Choice of Irradiance Control Point (340 m, or 420 nm)
- Choice of Filters for Daylight or Window Glass Spectra
- Humidity Control
- Chamber Air Temperature Control
- Black Panel Temperature Control
- AutoCal Allows NIST Traceable Calibration in Seconds (patented)
- ASTM and ISO Compliance
- Large Specimen Capacity
In the past, only larger labs could afford to do lightfastness testing. Not anymore. The new models of Q-Sun drastically reduce the cost of xenon arc exposures.
Why control humidity? Your specific material, end-use application, or test method will dictate whether relative humidity is a critical test parameter for you. Some materials, like many textiles, show a significant response to variations in RH during lightfastness or weathering exposure. Other materials, like some plastics, are not particularly sensitive. For those materials which are sensitive, RH control will improve correlation and reproducibility in test results. In addition, many ISO, SAE and ASTM test procedures require control of RH during xenon arc exposure. Now even the smallest lab can afford to own a full-featured xenon arc.
