The BSP-901 system is a microprocessor based monitor and controller of moisture and paper coatings that
shows fast payback from energy savings and reduction of product waste. The system consists of a wall
mounted console and one Infrared or Radio Frequency Sensor. The non-contact Infrared technique detects
moisture in a wide variety of materials with applications in moving webs, belts, screw conveyors, and
others. The Moisture Register Products patented RF technique detects moisture in or out of kilns or
dryers and is highly effective in the production of press boards, gypsum boards, carpets, flat building
materials and other non-ferrous materials.
Unlike other systems offered, the BSP-901 has microprocessor signal processing which provides push
button, drift free calibration. The BSP-901 requires no adjustments of potentiometers or variable
capacitors and can be operated with out special computers skills. Calibration tables can be stored in
the battery-backed memory. Enhanced accuracy and repeatability is achieved from three points per table
assuring best straight line calibration. The option Remote Operator option, interfaces with a PC and
allows for downloading the calibration data from files stored in the PC.
Security user identification, loss of product detection, sample on command, and PID control are among the
many standard features offered. Options include, dust shields, water cooling, and the Opto-Port Assembly
for free fall and screw conveyor applications, explosion proof housing is available for the NIR Sensor.
Applications include almost any process including paper and film products, food, minerals, chemicals,
wall board, tiles, carpets, foundry sand, sand aggregates and many others.
Start-up training in the U. S. and Canada are included with the purchase of the BSP-901 System.
