We have developed the Tachýs to meet a steadily increasing demand for an eight colour sleeve press. We
believe this press will make operating easier for the printer and considerably reduce downtime by
allowing on-press sleeve changeover.
We have maximised the recent significant improvements in sleeve technology and combined these with
certain innovative design features giving excellent stability and alignment and ensuring great ease of
handling.
On the Tachys press, a large 1700 mm. drum gives a 250 - 650 mm. print repeat. A lowered position of the
print decks keeps all print elements horizontal and allows better drying between the colours and good
solvent exhaust.
Exceptional stability is provided by a solid base and structure - with 100 mm. thick cast iron monoblock
side frames with unique access to the print deck.
Both the plate cylinder and anilox rolls operate with a sleeve system which becomes cantilevered only
during changeover. Further stability is provided during sleeve changeover as when the bearing support
moves out of the way on the plate cylinder, the anilox roller remains supported and vice versa.
The sleeves, which are removable from the operator side, are locked on the mandrel with a quick release
system using no tools. This extremely accurate system has been developed using Ceruttti technology. The
user has the option to select any brand of sleeve available in the market place.
The press is available either as a totally CNC machine with FNC-3000 system, or with the "FAST" motorised
system for remote controlled deck positioning and pre-register with manual gear mesh.
